Cost: $1800
Following on from the success with our previous Bush Rescue courses, the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM) has asked us to put on a tailored course suitable for delegates at the ACEM conference.
The course covers a range of medical and transferable field skills designed for doctors who may become involved in search and rescue, or emergency incidents, in challenging and steep terrain.
The course provides a structured approach to the management of emergencies and search and rescue in remote or wilderness settings. Within this structured framework there is an emphasis on teamwork, problem solving and improvisation.
The course is highly practical starting with individual skills, progressing through simple medical and rescue scenarios to a complex search and rescue, and a high angle rescue exercise.
Non ACEM delegates are more than welcome to attend this course.
